Denmark announced preliminary 21-man squad for FIFA World Cup

Denmark announced preliminary 21-man squad for FIFA World Cup.

Denmark National Team World Cup 2022

Kasper Hjulmand has named 21 out of his 26 players, with the final five names to be announced after the final round of European games this weekend. “It’s the right way to do it – it’s two games for most of our players and it can easily change things. There’s still 10-12 games left in the race for the top five.

Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen has been called up to Denmark’s preliminary squad for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Eriksen collapsed in last year’s Euro 2020 game against Finland and received life-saving treatment on the pitch.

Other key players to earn a place in the squad include Spurs midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Leeds United defender Rasmus Kristensen and Eriksen’s former Brentford team-mate Mathias Jensen.

The final squad must be submitted to FIFA by November 13, before the tournament starts on November 20.

Danish coach Kasper Hjulmand said:

“A lot of things can happen”, “. “It can’t be fixed, but it’s the right way to do it – it’s two games for most of our players and it can easily change things.”

“There’s still 10 or 12 players in high school to make the final five.”

On November 22, they will face Tunisia. After facing Tunisia in their Group D debut, Denmark face defending champions France on November 26 and Australia on November 30.
